We were thrilled to have three members of our Board of Directors, Fr. Kevin Finnegan, Mary Lynn and Warren Staley, and other members of the Rise & Shine community travel to Ghana in October to experience the joy and inspiration Our Lady of Grace Senior High School. During their stay, they were able to stay in the newly completed OLAG Guest House, connect with the community, and immerse themselves into Ghanaian culture.

Rise & Shine Board President, Fr. Kevin Finnegan, spent a month in Ghana and at OLAG engaging with students and faculty, celebrating Mass, sitting in on class sessions, connecting with our 2025 Notre Dame Summer Scholars, attending OLAG’s Music and Culture Festival, and more.

He spent time at the elementary schools at St. Joseph’s parish, and traveled to communities in Northern Ghana. He arrived back in the United States in mid November inspired by the community’s incredible growth and passion for learning.
